The Segway Personal Transporter (PT) represents the next generation in personal mobility. Its energy efficient rechargeable battery makes it eco-friendly, plus by giving the user 8 of additional height and speeds of up to 12.5 mph it provides greater visibility, mobility and carrying capacity.

The Segway PT requires no special skills (its built in technology takes care of the balancing- on-two-wheels part) and virtually anyone can use one.

Kingdom Centre Manager Andrew Forrester said "the extra height and speed offered by the Segway will increase the efficiency and visibility of the security provision at the Centre. It offers a reassuring presence to customers in the Malls and also acts as an 'ice-breaker', gaining visible interest from members of the public, thereby increasing interaction with security and police officers. We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Fife Constabulary in our joint vision and innovative approach towards ensuring the Kingdom Centre offers a safe and welcoming shopping environment for all."
